ABOUT THE PATTERN

A yoked sweater with flared, sideways knit body. No patterning facility required, so can be made with any machine. The patterning is created using holding position tuck and a 1/1 needle pusher. A little bit of cut and sew is used to create the armhole shaping, full instructions given on how to do this. The pattern uses a rolled neckline, but other neckline finishes are described. The lower edges are finished with a modified worm edging, created on the machine. the sleeves can be gathered in as in the examples, or flared as the hem of the body. Only basic skills are needed, being able to use holding position and hooking up stitches from waste yarn. Full instructions and knitting tips are given.

EQUIPMENT

Can be made on any chunky or mid gauge machine. No patterning facility required. The textured detail created using holding position and a 1/1 needle pusher.
