ABOUT THE PATTERN
A sunray style sweater/cardigan/pncho, with textured panels. 2 or 3 colours can be used to give extra interest. No patterning facility required, so can be made with any machine. The textured patterning is created using holding position tuck and a 1/1 needle pusher. A bit of cut and sew is used to create the underarm shaping, full instructions given on how to do this. The pattern uses a 'Double Worm' edging. Only basic skills are needed, being able to use holding position and hooking up stitches from waste yarn. Full instructions and knitting tips are given.
EQUIPMENT
Can be made on any chunky or mid gauge machine. No patterning facility required. The textured detail created using holding position and a 1/1 needle pusher.
SIZING
Full instructions for chest 22" (age about 2/3) to adult sizes.
MATERIALS
Any Double Knit gauge yarn able to produce the same stitch tension. Use a light to normal weight DK yarn, a thicker DK would produce a firmer fabric.
