'Drusilla' Mock Cable and Lace
This pattern uses one of the stitch designs from my ‘TWISTED STITCHES’ Booklet and the ‘SIMPLE RAGLAN’ design from my ‘BEGINNER’S BOOKLET’.
You can also make it as a sweater.
The button above will direct you to my online store at Atherton Dance Centre/Cachet. Look in the 'Patterns with full instructions' section. Please ask for Drusilla when you get to the comments section in checkout.
About
Using Aran weight yarn on a chunky machine means this is quite a quick make. The mock cable is quick to do, looking quite authentic, and the lace is made easy by being assisted by the punchcard. So you will have a fairly complicated looking cardigan that can be made relatively easily.
Materials
The yarn used is PAINTBOX SIMPLY ARAN in mint (I obtained this from LoveCraft), which is a 100% acrylic yarn. I used shade no 232. (You can of course use any Aran weight yarn if you can achieve the tension measurements .)
Equipment
It uses a chunky 24st punchcard (or electronic) machine with ribber. I used my Brother KH260 with KR260. If you don’t have a ribber, you can create the ribbing manually - full instructions are included in my ‘BEGINNER’S BOOKLET’.
Sizes
Full instructions for sizes 34-42" bust.
